The Echoes of War – Krichserënnerungsportal website is a project developed by the Musée National d'Histoire Militaire (Diekirch) with the aim of creating a centralized and user-friendly database of all types of monuments and expressions of remembrance related to Luxembourg's experience during the Second World War.

This website is designed to be a long-term digital resource, accessible to both researchers and the general public. It provides access to a wide range of monuments, each reflecting different aspects of Luxembourg's wartime experience. Through an interactive, georeferenced map, users can explore the digital archive of monuments and filter search results by theme, name, or geographical location.

The person database includes all identified individuals who had a direct or indirect connection to Luxembourg during the Second World War. It provides information on civilian and military actors, victims, eyewitnesses, resistance fighters, collaborators, and foreign individuals linked to the country. Each entry is connected to relevant memorials and sites listed in the monument database, offering a contextualized and comprehensive view of history.

While the archive aims to be as comprehensive as possible, its structure remains flexible and open, allowing for continuous enrichment with new references, whether provided by institutions or contributed by the public.
